Supporting your team

According to the Britain's Healthiest Workplace Survey in 2017, poor productivity and days off sick are costing the UK economy £77.5 billion a year. Figures published by the Scottish Government report that around one in four people are estimated to be affected by mental health problems in Scotland in any one year, and the statistics are similar in the rest of the UK.

People's lives are often busy juggling work and family commitments. Stress and anxiety can build up and it affects our mental and physical health, and this has ramifications on all areas of our lives. Yet being able to talk to an impartial person in a confidential, non-judgemental forum can help to reduce the impact of this, to identify specific areas of challenge and to create simple, actionable strategies to deal with these. Often it is hard to be honest with family, friends or work colleagues for fear of being judged, or because we don't want to worry those we love, but yet it is cathartic to be seen and heard.

So what are the benefits to a company? The investment in coaching says to your team that you value them, that they matter and that they are not just a number on your payroll. Where people feel valued, they are loyal and this fosters the retention of experienced staff, reducing the cost and time associated with recruiting new team members. Mindset shifts that can be created through coaching play an important part in building a team that are motivated, empowered and productive.

I work with corporate clients on a one-to-one basis. I also offer a programme of workshops that can be run with groups of staff.

Wellbeing Workshops

Life for most people is busy. They get little time to think about who they are and what they want from their life. They feel stuck on the hamster wheel.

These workshops are designed to give people time and space to focus on what's important to them, to appreciate their strengths and experience, to understand the patterns of behaviour that keep them stuck, to envisage a life they are excited to wake up to and to build simple, actionable habits that enable them to move towards that.

This is done over 5 workshops. The first is 90 minutes and the others are an hour long. These workshops have been developed using my professional expertise as a coach and the knowledge I have gained in personal development through hundreds of hours of reading across a broad range of disciplines including neuroscience, behavioural science, psychology, hypnotherapy and coaching, in my quest to understand how to effectively make and sustain positive change in our lives.

With over 25 years of business experience, first working for multinational food companies and laterally running our own business, I know first-hand the pressures of the corporate world but our people are our biggest asset and that is often forgotten. When they grow and flourish so too do our companies, and in a way we can be proud of.

The workshops I have developed are as follows:

  • Your core values and why these matter.
  • Your unique offering and how to dialogue with your brain better.
  • Why being excited by your future is important.
  • Limiting beliefs and how to upgrade these
  • Building great habits that work for you.

The workshops can be run over zoom, or face to face dependent on your location. I incorporate writing in my workshops to facilitate self-reflection, and so participants only share what they wish to. The ideal group size is 8 but this is flexible.

The investment is £400 per workshop based on this being delivered over Zoom. The workshops can stand alone, or be delivered as a series as they are designed to build on each other. The cost for the programme of 5 Workshops is £1,750. Notebooks are provided at the cost of £10 per person.

I also develop bespoke workshops and away days to suit your business needs.
